Leanne CaravaggioLeanne Caravaggio joined GCIC in 2010 and is as an investment analyst for the Value Team. Leanne's career as an analyst began with the Insurance Bureau of Canada in 2004 where she was a research associate focused on property and casualty insurance and Canadian financial institutions. She added to her experience in research covering global derivatives at TD Securities and later as an equity research associate focused on industrials at BMO Capital Markets.
Leanne holds an MBA degree in finance and strategic management from the Schulich School of Business at York University and she was awarded the CFA designation in 2006.
Louis ChanLouis Chan joined GCIC in 2011 as an investment analyst assisting David L. Fingold on a number of the global value strategies. Prior to joining GCIC, he spent six years as an analyst at other major Canadian investment firms. He spent four years covering the North American retailing and Canadian consumer products sectors at Merrill Lynch, and then was an analyst focused on the global consumer sector at another Canadian investment management firm.
Louis holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Dunstan ChungDunstan Chung joined GCIC in 2001 as an equity trader, and has since become a technical analyst. Dunstan's previous experience includes work as an interest rate and currency swaps trader at Sumitomo Bank, Hong Kong. Dunstan has a BA from Eastern Washington.
Amy GladingAmy joined GCIC in 2007 as an investment analyst assisting Rohit Sehgal on the Power team. Prior to Goodman, Amy began her career at a global management consulting firm in 2000 working within the Strategy and Business Architecture group. Amy joined the equity research team at CIBC World Markets in 2003 and was responsible for names in the cable, telecom and media sectors.
Amy holds an MBA from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, as well as a BScH from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada. She earned the CFA designation in 20
Frank LatshawFrank joined GCIC in 2011 as an analyst and member of the award-winning Equity Income team working closely with Jason Gibbs. Prior to joining GCIC, Frank spent 7 years as an analyst with Scotia Asset Management and 3 years in the same role with UBS Warburg. While at Scotia he performed fundamental analysis on North American securities in the financial services sector and to a lesser extent on energy and utilities. At UBS he provided equity research coverage of the Canadian insurance and asset management industries as part of the global financial services team. Frank also spent a year at Manulife Financial Corporation as a member of the mergers and acquisition team. He began his career at Deloitte and Touche working as an accountant for 4 years before moving to their corporate finance division for the next 3 years, where he performed business and property valuations on companies in a number of industries.
Frank received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen's University. He also holds the Chartered Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator and Chartered Financial Analyst designation
Sehr TaqdeesSehr joined GCIC in 2011 as an analyst and member of the award-winning Equity Income team. She is based in Calgary where she works closely with Jennifer Stevenson on identifying opportunities in the energy sector. Prior to joining GCIC she spent 6 years as an analyst with Qwest Investment Fund Management where she performed fundamental analysis on securities in the energy sector and to a lesser extent the mining sector and before that with Humboldt Capital Corporation assessing equities in the base metals and precious metals space.
Sehr has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Drake University in the US.
Vim ThasanVim Thasan joined GCIC in 2004 and has more than eight years of investment industry experience. Since joining GCIC, Vim has worked in various product management, product analytics and corporate accounting roles with escalating levels of responsibility. In 2008, Vim became a member of the Core investment team where he works closely with portfolio managers Ned Goodman and Adam Donsky.
Vim holds an MBA degree in Strategy & Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University and he was awarded the CFA designation in 2007.
Daniel YungblutDaniel joined GCIC's Fixed Income team in 2009, after gaining valuable experience as an analyst with a boutique asset manager, where he was responsible for the risk management and oversight of the firm's investment portfolios. In this role he worked closely with portfolio managers in developing investment strategies and constructing portfolios in a variety of asset classes. Prior to joining the industry in 2005, his graduate research focused on the risks that credit default swaps and other financial derivatives presented for the global financial system. His background also includes experience as a credit analyst in commercial finance.
He earned a Master of Arts in Global Political Economy from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
